    Relax on the beach

Today is free for you to relax in Mancora. With an enviable climate and an average of 300 days of sunshine a year, Mancora revolves around three things: beach, food and drink. After a leisurely breakfast and brief walk around the town to get your bearings, head down to one of the beachside restaurants in Mancora to enjoy an early lunch. After lunch, take a stroll to Las Pocitas beach considered the most beautiful beach in all of Peru. A 15 mins walk south of Mancora the beaches here are less crowded and the further south you go the more secluded and deserted they get! Make sure to take plenty of drinking water with you and to check the tides so that you aren't cut off from returning to your hotel by the high tide. Following a day of relaxing under the sun, stop at one of the beachfront bars to watch the sunset with a typical Peruvian drink, 'pisco sour'...be careful though, although they are smooth and sweet they pack quite a punch!

    Day at Leisure Mancora

Your day is free to spend as you wish. We recommend diving straight into the action with the wide range of optional activities that are offer in Mancora and can be organized once you're in the destination. Whether a seasoned professional or novice, rent a surfboard or take some lessons with a professional teacher. The waves here are long, rolling and smooth making it perfect for regular surfers out to perfect their technique and beginners too. If you're traveling to Mancora between mid-July and the end of October you must go on a whale watching tour as the humpback whales arrive to the warm coast of Mancora from the cold waters of Antarctica. During your whale watching tour in Mancora you'll also be able to see dolphins, sea lions and blue-footed boobies. You can also explore the marine life off the coast of Mancora, with the first dive school in Peru certified by PADI (the largest recreational dive organization in the world) recently opening in the small beach town. If you aren't ready for scuba diving and would prefer snorkeling, the scuba diving school also offers tours to some of the best snorkeling sites on the coast where you can swim alongside dolphins and turtles. In the evening, dine on more delicious seafood before enjoying some ice cold Pilsen or Cusquena (local beers) and Pisco Sours in the many bars and pubs in the center of town or along the beachfront.
