Transfer to Agra and the Moonlit Garden

In the morning, you will be driven to Agra, where you will be taken to your hotel for check-in. Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal, is one of the most artistically significant cities in the world. Its cultural value is further highlighted by three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri. In the early afternoon, you may choose to visit the Sheroes Hangout Café. The women behind Sheroes are survivors of acid attacks who have fought to reclaim their lives. Now, they define themselves as "fighters", carrying their scars with strength and resilience. This café is more than just a gathering space; it is a hub for empowerment. It functions as a readers’ café, a workshop for activism, a community radio station, and an exhibition space where art created by the survivors is displayed. Sheroes Hangout was founded by the Stop Acid Attacks campaign in 2013. This initiative not only provides a platform for women to redefine beauty but also addresses the role of appearance in society through various programs and discussions. Later, visit Mehtab Bagh (Moonlit Garden), located on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River. Mehtab Bagh is one of the eleven Mughal gardens along the river and offers a stunning view of the Taj Mahal. The garden was originally established by Emperor Babur, long before the Taj Mahal itself was built. It has since been restored to its former glory, making it an ideal spot for viewing the Taj. The landscape artists carefully replanted the trees and plants to match the original Mughal designs, incorporating 81 species used in Mughal horticulture, such as guava, hibiscus, neem, and citrus fruits, as well as ornamental plants like maulshri and kaner.

The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

In the early hours of the day, you will have the chance to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise (closed on Fridays). The Taj Mahal stands as a testament to the greatest love story ever told. After the death of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, Mughal emperor Shah Jahan commissioned this grand memorial in her honor. Over 20,000 workers labored for 17 years to complete this magnificent structure, crafted from white marble and adorned with precious stones. Return to the hotel for breakfast, and then head out to visit the Agra Fort. Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most impressive Mughal forts in India. Built in the 16th century, this red sandstone fortress played a significant role in India’s history, particularly during the 1857 Rebellion. The fort’s design and architecture reflect the military and cultural influences of the Mughal era. Then finally, the rest of the day is at your leisure.

    En Route to Jaipur

You willl depart from Agra for Jaipur via our transfer, and will stop along the way to visit Fatehpur Sikri. Situated 40 km from Agra, the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri was constructed by Emperor Akbar in 1569 in honor of the renowned Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of three sons to the childless emperor. Akbar initially made Fatehpur Sikri his capital, and the city thrived for 14 years before gradually falling into ruin after Akbar left. The main reason for its decline was the lack of a reliable water supply. Explore the remarkably preserved structures within this "Ghost City," including the Jama Masjid, the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal Palace, and other palaces. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at your hotel. Jaipur, often called the Pink City, is one of India’s most beautiful and culturally significant cities. Founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in November 1727, the city takes its name from this valiant Hindu ruler. Located in northern India, Jaipur is the capital and largest city of Rajasthan. The city's most notable feature is its distinctive architecture, which was planned according to the principles of Vastu Shastra, an ancient science that promotes well-being and prosperity.

The palace is built in the style of a fortified complex and covers nearly one-seventh of the city's area.
