You will land in Athens, where you will be greeted by a member of the team who will take you to the city centre via private transfer. There, you will check in at your hotel then you will have the day free at your own pace to discover what this great city has to offer. Your guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning. The tour begins through the city of Athens, stopping at family-run eateries serving traditional Greek dishes, and uncovering the myths and legends that shaped Greek culture and cuisine. The tour includes freshly baked koulouri, Thessaloniki-style bougatsa, and cold cuts and cheeses from all over Greece. The tour continues with souvlaki and ends with honey-drizzled loukoumades. The tour then continues with a walking tour at the Acropolis, and further tales from Greek mythology.The route passes the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, and the Temple of Athena Nike. The path leads through the Grand Propylaea and descends to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Theater of Dionysus. The final stop is the Acropolis Museum, where artefacts and sculptures provide insight into ancient Athens. The tour lasts approximately four hours and includes uphill walking and stairs.
