Bangkok, River Kwai & Dinner Cruise

This full-day tour begins with a visit to the famous floating market of Damnern Saduak, located around 100 kilometers west of Bangkok. Known locally as Klong Ton Khem, this market is one of three official floating markets in the area. The main market at Ton Kem is a narrow canal lined with food stalls and souvenir shops. Further south, you'll find the quieter markets of Her Kui and Khun Pitak, which are seldom visited. Photographers will find great opportunities for photos from the bridge crossing over the canal or from the produce shed on the right. Next, we head to the renowned Bridge on the River Kwai, located near Kanchanaburi, 130 kilometers from Bangkok. Built during World War II by prisoners of war, this historical site is a somber reminder of the past. We will visit the well-maintained Allied Prisoners' Cemetery, where around 9,000 soldiers who died during the construction of the bridge and the infamous "Death Railway" are buried. You will also have the opportunity to explore the JEATH Museum, named after Japan, England, America/Australia, Thailand, and Holland. The museum offers a poignant glimpse into this dark period of history through photos and artifacts. In the evening, enjoy a dinner cruise aboard the Grand Pearl. As you sail along the Chao Phraya River, you’ll pass iconic landmarks such as the Temple of Dawn, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, and several bridges. Enjoy a beautifully arranged buffet, while being serenaded by live classical piano music. You can also dance the night away on the spacious dance floor.
