    1
    Edinburgh

    Arrive in Edinburgh. Your private driver will pick you up at the airport and take you to your 5-star city center hotel. Have the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps explore the National Museum of Scotland and the Scottish National Gallery.

    2
    Edinburgh

    After an early breakfast your guide will pick you up from your hotel for private half day walking tour of Edinburgh, passing the Queen’s Official Scottish Residence Palace of Holyrood, the Scottish Parliament, Royal Mile and finishing with a tour of Edinburgh Castle.

    In the afternoon, meet up with your foodie guide for a walking food tour of the Old and New Edinburgh eating and drinking along the way at artisan restaurants, shops and bars.

    3
    Scottish Highlands


    Your day begins when you pick up your rental car at the start of your journey into the Highlands. Your tour will include the fabulous fortress of Stirling and a visit to the Bannockburn Battlefield where the “Braveheart” legends were born. Your drive continues through the mountains into Glencoe where the visitor center commemorates the tragic tale of the Campbell and McDonald clan massacres.

    In the evening you will reach the west Highland capital of Fort William and your nearby 5-star hotel.

    Jacobite Stream Train

    Enjoy a leisurely day travelling 1st class on the Jacobite Heritage Steam Train to the picturesque fishing port of Mallaig to enjoy views over to the Scottish islands. This train is perhaps better known as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets movie and will pass over the spectacular Glenfinnan Viaduct.  

    Enjoy a lunch of fresh caught fish overlooking the fishing fleet before rejoining the steam train for your return journey.

    Loch Ness

    Today your journey takes you through the Great Glen for a private cruise and picnic lunch on Loch Ness.

    After your possible Nessie Monster encounter, visit Urqhuart castle on the shores of Loch Ness as you continue across the heart of Scotland to the Highland capital of Inverness.

    Inverness

    Today is a feast of the best of Scottish food and drink, starting with a visit to the Gordon & McPhail grocery store in the cathedral city of Elgin to enjoy a whisky and food tasting experience. The Whisky Room at this unique store features 800 single malt whiskies while the delicatessen stocks fine cheeses and local artisan foods.

    Your day continues with a visit to Brodie Castle and then follows the Malt Whisky trail where you will visit the traditional Cardhu distillery along the route before returning to Inverness.

    7
    Pitlochry

    Travel south along the edge of the Cairngorm Mountains, perhaps stopping to view wild Ospreys (hawks) before visiting the magnificent Blair Castle – a Scottish treasure house.

    Your journey continues to the small picturesque town of Pitlochry before you finally head back towards Edinburgh for your final overnight in a castle.

    Drop your rental car at Edinburgh airport before taking your flight home.
